Monica B. Fine is a Professor of Marketing at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.  Before joining the Marketing department at the Wall College of Business, Dr. Fine was on the faculty at both Northwest Missouri State University and Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Fine earned her bachelor’s in Business Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.  She obtained her MBA from NWMSU as well.  Monica completed her Ph.D. in business administration, specializing in marketing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.

In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Monica Fine owns a marketing consulting firm called B. Fine Consulting (middle name Beth). B. Fine Consulting offers a variety of business and marketing services for small to medium sized businesses.  Our client industries include high-end commercial/residential construction, restaurants/bars, lawn services, and retail conglomerates. Dr. Fine’s duties include helping make survey instruments that are sent out to customers, performing  statistical procedures to help the company realize their opportunities/threats, provide social media plans, implement social media campaigns, search engine  optimization strategies, creating website, branding opportunities and much more.

Monica’s teaching areas include marketing research, personal selling, services marketing, international business, and promotional management. As a co-leader of the International Business in Europe program, she has taught and conducted research in France, Germany, Spain, and Italy since 2012.

Dr. Fine’s research interests include the marketing/finance interface, brand acquisitions, IPOs, social and mobile media, and resort tourism.  Research authored by Dr. Fine has been published in a wide variety of outlets including: Journal of Digital and Social Media Marketing, Coastal Business Journal, Operations Management Education Review, Research in Higher Education Journal, Journal of Instructional Pedagogies, Journal of Management and Marketing Research, and the Journal of Behavioral Studies in Business.  Over forty of her other articles and miscellaneous works have been published in various national and regional conference proceedings. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Fine’s professional experience included positions in professional selling and the service sector.
